Summit belongs to Xena in lovely Fairbanks AK.
Once my family had learned about Jennie/RumorHazIt we all wanted to know more and how to get a pup.
It was the first time I had seen anything like the contract required, even a contract at all and I thought wow these guys care for their dogs amazingly and for the entirety of their lives. That thought proved to be more than true.
Every dog my family and I have gotten for our family has been exactly what we needed at that time. Life with my standard Summit is amazing. I have never had such a great experience getting a puppy and it makes me so excited to see what the future will bring with current and future dogs.
One of the best parts of this whole experience is we didn’t just gain a new fur family member but we gained family through RumorHazIt  kennels as well.

We lost our family dog of 13 years this summer. The idea of getting another dog was a big one. Who can compete with our Cassie? However, we had a hole in our family. We also work with people who ha specially abilities that loved Cassie and benefited greatly from having her around. So we began searching. It was a tall order to fill. We needed a temperament that did well with adventure AND gentle for being with special abilities. We looked into poodles and the research won us over. At the time we had decided on a poodle, our Bella was posted as ready for adoption. We reached out to Jennie and prayed she would choose us for Bella. Jennie runs a tight ship with adoptions and you know she wants the puppies to thrive in their new home. The vet and groomer continue to gush about how awesome of a poodle Bella is.
Bella is the perfect mix of adventure  and love. All of our special guys adore her and she is super gentle and loving with them! Bella has been easy to train and she is eager to please. If you are looking for a dog that can embrace the Alaskan life style AND be gentle and loving, look no further than these poodles. She is perfect!

As a Groomer I have the pleasure of coming in contact with a lot of dogs. And through the course of time for many reasons, I decided I wanted a standard poodle. In my work, I happened to have a client who had gotten a puppy from Rumor Haz It/Jennie . I got to watch this puppy grow and mature and I fell in love with him. I decided that I needed a puppy from this kennel. When the timing was right for my family, I approached Jennie and we had a heart to heart about what I was really looking for in a dog and what my goals and aspirations might be. Being open and honest with her really helped her match me up with what has quickly become what I feel will be my “Heart Dog”. If you don’t know what a heart dog is, it’s that very special, super close bond you get with a dog when you’re able to fit together perfectly in every way. That is my puppy. We’re so alike, her and I!Even after having brought her home, Jennie  has continued to be there for me anytime I have had diet questions, training or behavior concerns and have always made themselves available to me, even in an ice storm! The care and love of their puppies produced doesn’t stop once the puppy goes to its new home. It continues forever! And it’s a huge peace of mind know that if anything were to happen to me, my dog is and will be well cared for and loved for the rest of her life.
Jennie, thank you for this little piece of my heart wrapped in poodle hair that I never knew I was missing. I will be eternally grateful!

Luxe
When Jennie asked me to do a puppy testimonial for my standard poodle Luxe I immediately said yes because Luxe is one of the bright lights of my life. Pretty quickly I started thinking- but what the heck am I going to write to sum up my quirky little poodle puff princess?
I got Luxe almost a year ago as a bright eyed, soft snuggly puppy. She was a little angel in disguise haha. I wasn’t even ready for a puppy yet, I was just going to meet Jennie and her dogs to get on a waitlist for the following year. All the puppies in the current litter were spoken for, but I really wanted to meet them to see what she produced as my service dog was nearing retirement and I would need another very special medical alert dog in the future. Well Luxe (India at the time) chose me from the minute we locked eyes. That puppy was bound and determined I was going to be hers whether Jennie or I liked it or not. When I left without her she sat at the door and waited for me- knowing that I would be back and she was right. A snowstorm came in and we were unable to make it the 300 miles or so back home so we ended up staying another night in Fairbanks. I still was not planning on a puppy even though I couldn’t get that little floof and our connection out of my head. It was like fate when we got stuck another night because Jennie messaged me and basically said we didn’t have a choice that puppy had chosen me and even though she was meant to stay with Jennie as her pick she recognized that I was her person. I was floored and was not expecting it. Turns out Luxe/India had already been temperament tested and tested high for service dog work so my husband and I talked it over and talked to our trainer and decided to take the leap. We haven’t looked back since.
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing. That little perfect ball of angel fluff lasted a couple of weeks and then turned into a velociluxe for the next 6 months haha. She’s just now coming around to be a snuggly girl again where I can snuggle her and keep all of my appendages. She is as quirky as the day is long. I message Jennie weekly that she sold me a defective dog because of the strange things she does and she just laughs and says she chose you what can I say haha. This strange little creature that I brought home has made my house chaotic and my heart full. She is a bundle of energy and a whirlwind of floof and teeth. She is smarter than me most days and she knows it. She is highly trainable BUT she has to want to do it and it has to be on her terms. At 11 months old she has passed her Canine Good Citizen Test, her AKC Novice Trick Dog Title and her AKC Intermediate Trick Dog Title. She also has been sailing through her public access training and has multiple service dog tasks down already. We have come to an understanding where I ask politely, give her a second to think if it’s something she will do and then we proceed as a team. If I demand anything of her she gets highly offended and reminds me to check myself haha.
Luxe very much likes to have a job and wants to know the rules and then wants to be left alone to do her job. Once she learns a task she doesn’t need to be told to do it, she anticipates my needs and just does it. For example, I don’t bend over well so she has been taught to grab my shoes and bring them to me so I don’t have to bend down. If she sees me heading for the spot to put on my shoes she runs and grabs them and brings them to me- without me telling her. If I accidentally say “Luxe, get my shoes”- you guessed it- she gets offended haha. She will do it but I will get the dirtiest side eye and she will do it at a snail’s pace. How dare I insult her by telling her to do a job that is already clearly hers to do and that she does well? This smart, anticipatory nature is going to make her one heck of a service dog one day, even if it means I get a lot of poodle side eye in the meantime.
Luxe, is obviously a well bred standard. Everyone we meet comments on what a perfect specimen of the breed she is. I don’t have to tell you how beautiful she is, you can see for yourself in the attached pictures. Her beauty might be the first thing you notice about her, but within 5 minutes of meeting her she will probably have you shaking her head wondering what she is doing. She is a beautiful, strange little creature who charms all around her with her exuberance and weird ideas. She is a perfect mix of opposites. She is a beautiful regal dog who prefers to live life as a mud puddle. She is a rough playing dog that hangs off my other dogs poor face half the time, yet she shares her food dish and bed with our 2lb house bunny who has decided Luxe is his best friend. She is super smart but does the dummest things sometimes just to see if she can do them. She is hyper and vibrates with energy but when it’s snuggle time she is all about full body snuggles where her whole body (all 50+lbs) is completely on top of yours. She is one of the big loves of my life, but I want to throttle her half the time. She is a perfect mix of what did I get myself into and I could not live without her.
It might just be my poodle puff princess, but I can vouch for at least with my girl that what you get with one of Jennie’s puppies is not just a well bred, health tested and properly raised dog but an all encompassing quirky little member of the family. And I absolutely would not have it any other way.

I grew up with standard poodles so when I could finally get a puppy of my own I knew I wanted a poodle. Jennie came highly recommended. I was surprised that she actually called my references, but they could honestly say I was SO excited to finally get a puppy. I brought Fitz home and fell in love immediately. She’s so adventurous and funny and she just loves life and it comes out every time we hike or play fetch or tug. She hikes with me in -5 degree weather and is happy to cuddle on the couch or camp in my car. Fitz came to me from Jennie knowing sit and  was pretty well potty trained and completely kennel trained (she’s still never had an accident in her kennel). Jennie even has Fitz sleep alone for a few nights before I brought her home so she didn’t whine at night which was absolutely fantastic and such a worry off my mind. Jennie has been fantastic with all my constant questions about Fitz and always gives the perfect  advice. Jennie really cares about her puppies after they leave her. The best thing that I can say is that I’m hoping that I can get my next poodle from Jennie. And that I’ve told everyone looking into a poodle to get a puppy from her.

That’s one serious Adventure pup!
